Quercus robur also known as the English oak, Pedunculate oak or French oak.
Apart from it's historical reputation, English Oak is a useful and adaptable plant that has established very well to Australian climate conditions.
These plants are over one year old and have gone through their first dormancy with ease.
They are old enough to be planted out and will begin to grow rather quickly once settled.

You can expect them to accommodate a rather large portion of your yard over the third and fifth year after planting.

Medicinally, the bark is Anti-inflammatory, Antiseptic, Astringent, Hemostatic, Styptic and Tonic.
Bach Flower Remedy to treat despair and despondency.

Chemical Constituents: Tannins (phlobatannin, ellagitannins, gallic acid), quercin. Galls are even higher in tannins than the bark.
Contraindications: Oak galls are extremely astringent; use only in small quantities. Use Oak bark for no longer than one month continuously.
